Automatic proxy configuration does not work
Problem: During the first start of Communicator, an empty dialog box might come up, containing 3 buttons.
Workaround: Click on the middle, empty button.
Problem:
The URLbar might not be visible, if Netscape 6 was installed on the same system.
Also, if a default setting between Beonex Communicator and e.g. Netscape 6 differs, and you happened to change the setting (=preference), it might be reset to its default value in both Beonex Communicator and Netscape 6.
Reason: Beonex Communicator currently shares the folder, where profiles (the user-specific data like preferences, bookmarks, emails etc.) are stored, with Netscape 6 and Mozilla.
Workaround: Create a new profile for Beonex Communicator only. You can do that with the Profile Manager (in the Start menu).
Problem: The Uninstaller does not work.
Workaround: Manually delete Communicator:
mozregistry.dat and mozver.dat in your Windows folder (e.g. c:\windows)
Mozilla in your Windows profile or in the Windows folder).
Problem: If Communicator is installed by root in a directory that only root can write to and then ran as normal user, it might refuse to start up.
Reason: Communicator currently tries to write into its installation dir.
Workaround: Install one copy of Communicator for each user, in a directory the user can write to.
